Planning a wedding from afar can be a difficult and even frightening process without the proper team of professionals to help guide the way. Lindsay and Steven came to us via the fabulous Cynthia Zatkin, of Cynthia Zatkin Events and they truly could not have asked to be in the hands of a more knowledgeable and caring coordinator/planner. Together with Cynthia, we created a fantastically sophisticated affair, dripping in creamy ivories, rich golds and glittering accents.
L chose to carry a fragrant, all ivory bouquet of textured gardenias, spray roses, hydrangea, various roses and other elements, her bridesmaids wore her accent color, teal.
Set against the perfect backdrop of the Prado Ballroom at Balboa Park, the reception was true timeless glamour realized. Textured gold La Tavola linens and napkins were paired with gold rimmed charger plates, glasses and our pairing of both mercury glass and clear glass candles. We created two different centerpiece styles, with some being tall atop shaped glass stands with Swarovski crystal accents and some short to the table with tall candle holders rising from within the lush, floral centerpiece.
The escort card display was created on vintage shutters that we accented with gently sprawling vines and petite white blooms to appear as though they were naturally blooming
A traditional ceremony was held at the stunning Immaculata at USD. HUGE thank you to the fabulous photographers at Cole Joseph Photography!

We love creating the perfect organic-glam wedding about as much as we adore the iconic Hotel Del Coronado. When the two are paired the result is absolute MAGIC! D & K chose a neutral palette of soft ivories and creams paired with fresh greens and rustic elements. Mixed metallic vessels, candlelight, shimmering linen and crystal candelabras were used to pump up the glam.
D carried an organic, free-flowing bouquet of various ivory, white and green blooms with organic accents.
The gorgeous, coastal ceremony took place on the Windsor Lawn, where we designed our wood stained canopy with a sheer overlapping silk draping and floral accents. Glittering mini chandeliers were placed down the length of the aisle, complete with free-flowing floral arrangements. Our two glittering free-standing crystal chandeliers were placed at either side of the canopy, adding a bit of glittering glamour.
The candle-studded reception was dripping in details, with shimmering crystal candelabras set against organic, free-flowing garden centerpieces of orchids, branches and succulents.
The sweetheart table was topped with a lush, dripping floral arrangements of orchids and various ivory and cream blooms paired with fresh greens and mixed metallic candles.

A soft palette of pale blush, ivory and cream was paired with fresh, lush foliage to create this fabulously-textured and floral-filled affair at the Darlington House in La Jolla, California.
Bridesmaids carried bouquets with hints of blush tones while the bride carried an all ivory, cream and fresh green bouquet of fragrant garden roses, gardenias, stock, roses, spray roses, dusty miller and other like elements.
We filled our custom stained boxes with delicate lavender buds for escort cards to be placed atop.
The focal point of the rose garden reception was created with a long, wood head table topped with our delicate lace runners and floral arrangement clusters surrounding tall mercury glass candle holders paired with deep wood stained boxes, dripping with lush florals.
We accented the chairs of the bride and groom with lush, clustered floral groupings and garlands. Guest centerpieces were a mixture of two types of arrangements.
We loved working with Rachel Finn of I Do…Weddings and Jennifer Dery Photography on this lovely wedding!

K & B’s reception was created in a “moving” fashion, meaning that it was not set up as a traditional sit down dinner format, but instead was created through various furniture vignettes with a mixture of lounge and formal sitting spaces hand picked and designed by Jenny Minns of Luxe Events. Custom fabric wrapped tables, booths and sofas were created by Hire Elegance.
The grand entrance was flanked by six of our large, glittering crystal candelabras topped with large, draping ivory floral arrangements.
Custom tables were topped with our dramatic crystal candelabra centerpieces. We created custom ivory platforms wrapped in a rich taffeta with brooch accents complete with a sleek mirrored top. Various candlelight in mercury glass and clear glass was placed throughout the room and grouped around the tall centerpieces, adding a warm glow.
A photo area was set up with a life-size cut out of the couple flanked by two tall centerpieces placed atop our custom pedestals. The entry to the two sides of food stations were marked by over 100ft of densely packed babies breath garlands and dripping floral wreaths.
All in all, the perfect evening for the adorable couple and we were so honored to be a part of it!

Part I of this post will include the outdoor festivities and we will get to all of the indoor goodness in our Part II post.

Whether you are a fan or not, we can all agree that the “Real Housewives” phenomenon has certainly taken off and we were so excited to see that Joanna Krupa, supermodel from the Miami Housewives chose to have her wedding at one of our FAVORITE venues in San Diego, the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort! The fabulous Park Hyatt ladies called us up to create the perfect tablescape for the screening of the episode to celebrate with their favorite wedding industry folks. We all know the old adage that a bride must have “something old, something new, something borrowed and something BLUE” at her wedding. This wedding truly had it ALL from vintage lace from the bride’s mothers wedding gown to blue reception detailing set to perfection!
The reception was dripping in romantic candlelight in the form of clear glass, mercury glass and blue wrapped candle holders. We hand wrapped hundreds of vases and candleholders with the perfect Swiss satin ribbon to add just the right touch of blue and paired the gorgeous blue of the vessels and napkins with a soft dove grey shantung silk linen from Concepts Event Design.
