Abby & Chris : A Rainy Day at the Del

Ready… Set… SWOON!  This wedding truly took our breath away.  It was POURING rain the day of this dreamy wedding, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the lovely feel of the  ballroom.

Our fabulous bride Abby came to us with a color scheme of ivory and gold in mind and together, we transformed the large ballroom space at the iconic Hotel Del Coronado into a soft and glamorous wonderland of ivory, cream and light gold with splashes of fresh green and subtle pops of black.  We chose a soft ivory linen topped with a delicate gold lace overlay and paired them with light gold napkins.  To bring in the black, we designed custom velvet napkin embellishments and subtle candle holder wrapping complete with a rhinestone brooch.  Clusterings of mercury glass, gold and mirrored mediums were paired along the table, adding texture and dimension from candle holders to platforms and vases.  Tall, shaped glass cylinders and regal gold candelabras were accented by dripping crystal pendants and large, lush and loose florals in shades of ivory, cream, white and fresh green.

LOVE!!!  Love is the only word that comes to mind when thinking about these two human beings and this spectacular wedding!  We were honored to design the entire event from start to finish and work with such amazingly fabulous vendors.  Huge thanks to Ashley Kelemen Photography for capturing it on camera!

Des chose a lovely, soft color palette of soft blush, vintage rose, ivory, fresh greens and organic pops of black, brown and burgundy.  We used over 25 varieties of flowers and foliage to include fragrant garden roses, textured anemones, jasmine, cosmos, veronica and other like blooms and greens.  Bouquets were finished with a rich, textured Midori ribbon detailing and trailing fabric drip.

The ceremony was pure magic, created under and around an old tree on the Rancho Bernardo Inn’s property.  We created a delicate and lush floral garland around the base of the tree and hand strung orchids to hang from the branches, complimented by a crystal chandelier and Swarovski crystal strands and pendants.

The ballroom was DRIPPING in romantic candlelight and unique dimension created with the use of 3 fabulously dramatic centerpiece types.  Both round tables and long banquet tables were utilized in order to create movement and variation between centerpieces.  Tall, garden centerpieces were paired with 8ft tall “trees” that we hand created, complete with hanging candles.  Banquet tables were topped with our lace runners and an array of tall and short gold candelabras with eclectic, garden centerpieces scattered along the center of the table placed within gold, bronze, mirrored, mercury glass and crystal vessels.  Delicate sprigs of rosemary were finished with a bow accent and placed at every guest plate.

Candice & Matt : Spring Garden Bliss

We adore the springtime for oh-so-many reasons, one of them being PEONIES and the other amazing seasonal flowers that are available for us to play with!  Candice loved the rich, coral tones of the coral charm peony, but wanted a very classic color palette of soft ivories paired with fresh greens and accents of lavender, purple, peach, orange and coral.  C chose the gorgeous, garden venue at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, where she was surrounded by lush garden roses and foliage.  We designed her centerpieces to compliment her surroundings and style.

The reception was candle-studded, with each guest table holding over 20 candles of varying heights, sizes and mediums.  Mercury glass, cut crystal, delicately shaped floating candle holders and votives were all paired to give the table some interesting texture.  Tall floral sprays were created in tall, tapered glass vessels paired with eclectic groupings of florals in vintage gold, brass, bronze and silver tones.

What could be more magical than a cool, snow-kissed wedding on the hot, sandy beaches of Orange County?  Yes Ladies and Gentleman, that is correct, Couture Events literally made it snow at the Surf and Sand Resort for K & M’s whimsical, winter wonderland wedding.  Together with the fabulous ladies at Couture, snow was paired with our textured birch wood elements, glittering crystals, lanterns and custom wrapped vessels.

K chose to carry a bouquet of her favorite Picasso calla lilies paired with fluffy peonies and dusty gray  accents.

The magical ceremony took place outdoors on the upper patio overlooking the spectacular Pacific Ocean.  Our custom birch canopy was delicate draped in a sheer gray silk and accented by delicate, glittering crystals, pendants and hand dipped feathers (feathers created by Couture Events).

Our job is oh-so-much easier when a couple creates consistency between their theme, decor and venue.  A & B chose the perfect coastal theme for their Scripps Seaside Forum Affair and we could not have been happier to be a part of it!

A chose a color palette of soft ivory, cream and blush tones paired with mint and organic, textured beach elements.  We loved pairing delicate lace and glass elements with rough, rustic burlap and wood.

The couple was married under our deep wood stained canopy A-symmetrically draped in a sheer silk.  Sandblasted wood was attached to the canopy accented with soft blooms.

The reception room was positively GLOWING with candlelight and romance!  We paired our burlap and lace runners together to form a sophisticated organic look topped with clustered sandblasted wood branches, lanterns, floral arrangements and candles of varying heights in mercury glass and clear glass.

Rustic lounge furniture was placed on the outer lawn complimented by whimsical market lighting.  The event was masterfully coordinated by Coast Catering and perfectly captured by Paul Barnett Photography.

A soft palette of pale blush, ivory and cream was paired with fresh, lush foliage to create this fabulously-textured and floral-filled affair at the Darlington House in La Jolla, California.

jendery3558

Bridesmaids carried bouquets with hints of blush tones while the bride carried an all ivory, cream and fresh green bouquet of fragrant garden roses, gardenias, stock, roses, spray roses, dusty miller and other like elements.

We filled our custom stained boxes with delicate lavender buds for escort cards to be placed atop.

The focal point of the rose garden reception was created with a long, wood head table topped with our delicate lace runners and floral arrangement clusters surrounding tall mercury glass candle holders paired with deep wood stained boxes, dripping with lush florals.

Erica & Josiah : “Something Blue” Wedding
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/
  • Under : Blog , wedding

We all know the old adage that a bride must have “something old, something new, something borrowed and something BLUE” at her wedding.  This wedding truly had it ALL from vintage lace from the bride’s mothers wedding gown to blue reception detailing set to perfection!

1239019_10151526002011710_701205786_n1176192_10151526001991710_1624433048_n1186225_10151526003751710_149247725_n

The reception was dripping in romantic candlelight in the form of clear glass, mercury glass and blue wrapped candle holders.  We hand wrapped hundreds of vases and candleholders with the perfect Swiss satin ribbon to add just the right touch of blue and paired the gorgeous blue of the vessels and napkins with a soft dove grey shantung silk linen from Concepts Event Design.
