Mike & Des : Sophisticated Spring Soiree

LOVE!!!  Love is the only word that comes to mind when thinking about these two human beings and this spectacular wedding!  We were honored to design the entire event from start to finish and work with such amazingly fabulous vendors.  Huge thanks to Ashley Kelemen Photography for capturing it on camera!

Des chose a lovely, soft color palette of soft blush, vintage rose, ivory, fresh greens and organic pops of black, brown and burgundy.  We used over 25 varieties of flowers and foliage to include fragrant garden roses, textured anemones, jasmine, cosmos, veronica and other like blooms and greens.  Bouquets were finished with a rich, textured Midori ribbon detailing and trailing fabric drip.

The ceremony was pure magic, created under and around an old tree on the Rancho Bernardo Inn’s property.  We created a delicate and lush floral garland around the base of the tree and hand strung orchids to hang from the branches, complimented by a crystal chandelier and Swarovski crystal strands and pendants.

The ballroom was DRIPPING in romantic candlelight and unique dimension created with the use of 3 fabulously dramatic centerpiece types.  Both round tables and long banquet tables were utilized in order to create movement and variation between centerpieces.  Tall, garden centerpieces were paired with 8ft tall “trees” that we hand created, complete with hanging candles.  Banquet tables were topped with our lace runners and an array of tall and short gold candelabras with eclectic, garden centerpieces scattered along the center of the table placed within gold, bronze, mirrored, mercury glass and crystal vessels.  Delicate sprigs of rosemary were finished with a bow accent and placed at every guest plate.

Ahhh, we are gushing over this AMAZING tabletop inspiration collaboration we created together with the ladies of Couture Events.  We paired glamorous metallic tones and rich textures together with a soft garden palette of ivories and fresh greens.  A huge thank you to The Youngrens Photography for capturing it so beautifully!  Lush vines were paired with garden roses, tulips, hydrangea, roses and other like blooms.

Custom gold sequin wrapped vessels were clasped with delicate, glittering rhinestone brooches.  Our vintage gold candelabras were lit with taper candles and our large centerpiece was placed atop our custom glass blown stand on a vintage mirrored platform.

Karen & Philip : A Contemporary Garden Affair
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/

We loved the concept of pairing a traditional, garden aesthetic against the backdrop of the contemporary Sculpture Garden at Balboa Park’s San Diego Museum of Art.  A soft color palette of ivories, soft gray, coral, peach and fresh greens was picked by the couple and together with the lovely ladies of LVL Events, the event took life.  Textured, organic succulents were scattered amongst the floral.  K carried a beautiful bouquet of soft anemones, succulents, roses, spray roses, garden roses, veronica, fresh greens and other like elements.

The intimate ceremony took place under our custom created birch wood archway, complete with a non-traditional draping of A-symmetrically placed sheer gray silk.  We delicately accented the gorgeous sheer silk with dripping vines and blooms varying in shades of coral, blush, peach and ivory.

The reception was created with a pairing of various vessels in soft silver, milk glass, clear glass and cut crystal mediums, filled with lush theme blooms.  A gorgeously patterned La Tavola linen runner was placed along the table, adding an organic gray accent to the table.

Lindsay & Steven : All that Glitters is Gold

Planning a wedding from afar can be a difficult and even frightening process without the proper team of professionals to help guide the way.  Lindsay and Steven came to us via the fabulous Cynthia Zatkin, of Cynthia Zatkin Events and they truly could not have asked to be in the hands of a more knowledgeable and caring coordinator/planner.  Together with Cynthia, we created a fantastically sophisticated affair, dripping in creamy ivories, rich golds and glittering accents.

L chose to carry a fragrant, all ivory bouquet of textured gardenias, spray roses, hydrangea, various roses and other elements, her bridesmaids wore her accent color, teal.

Set against the perfect backdrop of the Prado Ballroom at Balboa Park, the reception was true timeless glamour realized.  Textured gold La Tavola linens and napkins were paired with gold rimmed charger plates, glasses and our pairing of both mercury glass and clear glass candles.  We created two different centerpiece styles, with some being tall atop shaped glass stands with Swarovski crystal accents and some short to the table with tall candle holders rising from within the lush, floral centerpiece.

The escort card display was created on vintage shutters that we accented with gently sprawling vines and petite white blooms to appear as though they were naturally blooming

Debbie & Keith : Organic Glamour at the Iconic Hotel Del Coronado
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/
  • Under : Blog , wedding

We love creating the perfect organic-glam wedding about as much as we adore the iconic Hotel Del Coronado.  When the two are paired the result is absolute MAGIC!  D & K chose a neutral palette of soft ivories and creams paired with fresh greens and rustic elements.  Mixed metallic vessels, candlelight, shimmering linen and crystal candelabras were used to pump up the glam.

D carried an organic, free-flowing bouquet of various ivory, white and green blooms with organic accents.

The gorgeous, coastal ceremony took place on the Windsor Lawn, where we designed our wood stained canopy with a sheer overlapping silk draping and floral accents.  Glittering mini chandeliers were placed down the length of the aisle, complete with free-flowing floral arrangements.  Our two glittering free-standing crystal chandeliers were placed at either side of the canopy, adding a bit of glittering glamour.

The candle-studded reception was dripping in details, with shimmering crystal candelabras set against organic, free-flowing garden centerpieces of orchids, branches and succulents.

We could not be more excited to gush over all of these amazing details with you!  From the detailed La Tavola linens to the glittering crystal chandeliers and stunning unique color palette, this wedding was absolutely one of our favorites of 2013!  The photography was shot by the talented Caroline Tran, and we thank her for capturing all of the glory that was this wedding!  This wedding was featured on the RUFFLED Blog, view the link by clicking here!

Let’s start with the ceremony details, or should I say CEREMONIES details.  The bride and groom had a traditional Thai ceremony on the rooftop followed by an American ceremony in the ballroom of the Westgate Hotel in downtown San Diego.

htrhjygre copy 2htre

jytgrehrtyThe ladies carried Parisian inspired bouquets of soft ivory and blush tones (with feather accents provided by the bride).  The American ceremony was dripping in candlelight with the aisle being lined in large cylinders vases accented by floating candles.  The fireplace was accented by multiple layers of candlelight (mercury glass and clear glass) as well as a garland and bloom accents.  The clients provided us with traditional Thai urns for the second ceremony, which we filled with a lush floral arrangement.

The reception felt as though one was walking into a gala thrown by Marie Antoinette herself, so uniquely stunning!  Centerpieces consisted of three types of arrangements, tall crystal candelabras, short gold urn vases and detailed mini wedding cakes!!!

y5gdgggrjhwertetgfdfwer copyasdfgfdThe Dessert Station and escort card table were both absolutely stunning and incredibly detailed!  Heather from Amorology Weddings went all out and created a sweet masterpiece complete with a custom backdrop, glass cloches and french macarons!
