Abby & Chris : A Rainy Day at the Del
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/
  • Under : Blog , wedding

Ready… Set… SWOON!  This wedding truly took our breath away.  It was POURING rain the day of this dreamy wedding, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the lovely feel of the  ballroom.

Our fabulous bride Abby came to us with a color scheme of ivory and gold in mind and together, we transformed the large ballroom space at the iconic Hotel Del Coronado into a soft and glamorous wonderland of ivory, cream and light gold with splashes of fresh green and subtle pops of black.  We chose a soft ivory linen topped with a delicate gold lace overlay and paired them with light gold napkins.  To bring in the black, we designed custom velvet napkin embellishments and subtle candle holder wrapping complete with a rhinestone brooch.  Clusterings of mercury glass, gold and mirrored mediums were paired along the table, adding texture and dimension from candle holders to platforms and vases.  Tall, shaped glass cylinders and regal gold candelabras were accented by dripping crystal pendants and large, lush and loose florals in shades of ivory, cream, white and fresh green.

Elena & Felipe : A Gatsby Inspired Fête
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/

Oohh la la!  We absolutely adored designing this fabulous Gatsby-inspired affair for E & F!  Dramatic black accents were paired with soft creams and bold, antique gold tones to create an old-world feel.  The bride carried an ultra glamorous and fragrant bouquet of peonies, garden roses, gardenias and glittering brooches.

The reception was studded with large, spraying arrangements of various roses, hydrangea, orchids and fluffy feathers.  Traditional gold candelabras were finished in glittering crystal strands and pendants placed atop our custom ivory and mirrored platforms.

This gorgeous wedding was an absolute labor of love for us.  Our fabulous bride, J, wasn’t sure if she wanted to go with a classic, timeless design or whether she wanted to up the drama with a little unique twist.  Luckily for us, she chose a unique twist and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it!   The ceremony was set against our custom floral wall backdrop complete with dramatic, dripping centerpieces.  The reception was filled with tall, stunning florals accented by cascading greens, orchids and glittering Swarovski crystal pendants and strands.  Simply spectacular!

Stefanie & Brad : A Luxe Pink Beach Wedding
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/
  • Under : Blog , wedding

We are flipping over the images of this gorgeous wedding (and great looking couple!) thanks to She Wanders Photography!  Pink/glam was the theme for this stunning soiree, and the ladies of Luxe Events took that concept and ran with it flawlessly.  A soft, garden feel was chosen for the ceremony followed by a glam reception dripping in Swarovski crystals and delicate lace.

Shewanders.StephanieBrad-1537

The bride chose to carry a glittering bouquet of dripping white orchids and soft blush and pink blooms, complete with a dripping jewel accenting.  Each bouquet was finished with a glittering brooch.

S & B’s drool-worthy ceremony took place on the lawn at the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, where we used our ivory draped canopy to create a unique, romantic scene.  We custom created dripping crystal swags to tie back each pole and placed A-symmetrically cascading floral arrangements in soft ivory, white, blush, pink and fresh green tones.  Gorgeous, lush arrangements were placed at the entry to the aisle atop our lace-accented ivory pedestals.  The result was pretty magical.

The “pretty in pink” reception couldn’t have been more detailed and fabulous!  We created Three types of centerpieces paired with a long, lush, elevated floral runner placed down the length of the head table!

Christine & Joe : A Fabulous Fuchsia Fête
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/
  • Under : Blog , wedding

From the moment Victoria Schroeder of Victoria Weddings brought Christine and her mother-to-be, Debbie, into our studio and began to describe the glamorous vision for their big day, we knew we simply had to be a part of it!  We had such an absolute blast collaborating and designing the florals for this wedding and we can’t wait to show you all of the pretty details!  A huge thank you to Victor Sizemore for capturing every single last perfect detail so flawlessly on camera!

1440_DePillo_W0765

Christine knew that she wanted a vibrant fuchsia as her focal color paired with softer purples and pinks.  Her bridesmaids wore floor length gowns and held bouquets of soft tones with pops of brighter colors.  Christine’s bouquet was a very large hand tied bouquet of soft ivory, blush and lavender tones with a detailed handle finish created from textured blush dupioni silk accented by a delicate French lace appliqué and glittering rhinestones elements.

1092_DePillo_W07650849_DePillo_W07650853_DePillo_W0765

The ceremony took place in the gorgeous Cappella Ballroom of The Grand Del Mar, where we created a long aisle of delicate lavender rose petals paired with candles of varying heights and sizes.  A dramatic entry to the aisle was formed with custom pedestals and tall color-blocked arrangements.  We created the pedestals using pooled blush dupioni silk fabric accented at the top with our French alencon lace caps and a custom created brooch belt.  Tall tapered glass vessels were dripping with glittering Swarovski crystal strands and pendants.

The über dramatic escort card display table boasted a huge 5ft tall floral arrangement so large that it drawfed the large chandelier above it.  Over 20 varieties of orchids, roses, hydrangeas, spray roses and other like elements sprayed from the huge arrangement.  Whimsical glass orbs and crystals hung from the floral, adding dimension and fun detailing.

2101_DePillo_W07652093_DePillo_W0765

Walking into this reception was like walking into a fuchsia and gold WONDERLAND.  Glowing candlelight flooded the ballroom with over 25 candles per guest table and over 200 on the dramatic head table in various shades of mercury glass, cut crystal and glass.  Two types of tall centerpieces graced the reception tables to be described below.

3400_DePillo_W07653342_DePillo_W07653241_DePillo_W07653367_DePillo_W07653389_DePillo_W07653329_DePillo_W0765

Half of the tall centerpieces were created atop a custom fabricated stand that we had created just for C & J’s big day.  Dripping crystals were swaged around the stand and dripped from stand, to appear as though the huge floral centerpieces was hovering above table, dripping in glamour.  These floral centerpieces were very large being about 4ft in diameter.  Hours were spent hand stringing delicate rose petals to drip from each centerpiece.

3170_DePillo_W07653016_DePillo_W0765

The second centerpiece type was created using a color-blocking method of floral arranging, creating a crescent shaped floral arrangement.

3390_DePillo_W07653049_DePillo_W0765

The base decor for the guest tables was as amazingly detailed as the floral at the top with several petite floral arrangements within mirrored, bronze and gold vessels arranged atop custom platforms and layers of golden candlelight.  Each footed glass candle holder had its own glittering mini brooch wrapping.

3146_DePillo_W0765

The head table was simply awe-inspiring with 3 long 6ft floral arrangements created atop table and a dense floral runner spanning the entire length of the 42ft banquet-style table.

3172_DePillo_W07652804_DePillo_W07653353_DePillo_W0765

And wait… there is more!  We haven’t gotten to one of the coolest details of the evening.  Their wedding cake was suspended on a crystal stand filled with lush florals at the base.  The couple purchased this stand from Tamra Barney herself, of The Housewives of Orange County, who had used this stand at her wedding.

3307_DePillo_W0765

Custom white bars were accented in their center with tall, draping floral arrangements with hanging glass orb detailing.

2958_DePillo_W07652962_DePillo_W0765

We are still amazed by the details of this wedding and are so inspired and honored to have been a part of it!
