Victoria & Douglas : A Garden-Inspired Fête
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/
  • Under : Blog , wedding

This lovely November wedding and GORGEOUS bride came to us less than two short months before the big day!  Luckily for all of us, this wasn’t our first rodeo and we were able to take her vision from a concept to a reality in a few short weeks together with the ladies of CZ Events.

The initial concept was a traditional pairing of soft ivories and blushes with hints of lavender.  After a bit of discussion and wanting to add a subtle twist to her color palette, we decided to add in touches of plum and garden greens to the reception blooms.

The traditional jewish ceremony took place under our ivory chuppah DRIPPING in blooms and exotic white phalaenpsis orchids.  As day slowly turned to evening the beauty of the structure was enhanced and perfectly captured by the talent at France Photography.

The gorgeous garden reception had a very unique look from daytime to night as the uprights were turned up and more color was added throughout the room.

Candice & Matt : Spring Garden Bliss
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/
  • Under : Blog , wedding

We adore the springtime for oh-so-many reasons, one of them being PEONIES and the other amazing seasonal flowers that are available for us to play with!  Candice loved the rich, coral tones of the coral charm peony, but wanted a very classic color palette of soft ivories paired with fresh greens and accents of lavender, purple, peach, orange and coral.  C chose the gorgeous, garden venue at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, where she was surrounded by lush garden roses and foliage.  We designed her centerpieces to compliment her surroundings and style.

The reception was candle-studded, with each guest table holding over 20 candles of varying heights, sizes and mediums.  Mercury glass, cut crystal, delicately shaped floating candle holders and votives were all paired to give the table some interesting texture.  Tall floral sprays were created in tall, tapered glass vessels paired with eclectic groupings of florals in vintage gold, brass, bronze and silver tones.

Maryanne & Rob : Contemporary Glamour at the Hotel Del Coronado

The timeless, historic Crown Ballroom at the Hotel Del Coronado was the perfect backdrop for this glamorous, contemporary wedding.  The talented team at Luxe Events put a modern spin on a classic color pairing of navy blue and gold through their event design.

M chose to carry a garden-inspired bouquet of ivory blooms including garden roses, stock, anemones, fragrant gardenias, spray roses, roses, various greens and other like elements.

A pairing of tall and short unique centerpieces were used to create a unique drama at the ceremony site.  Hand painted manzanita branches were accented by white roses and dripping Swarovski crystal strands and french cut pendants.  Large, dripping floral arrangements were paired alongside the tall manzanita arrangements, clad with crystal and placed atop a romantically shaped glass vessel.  Black pedestals were wrapped in a delicate French lace to soften the scene.

We could not get enough of M & R’s reception details.  From the napkin finishings to the sweetheart table chair backs, nothing was overlooked by the Luxe Ladies.

We’ve been dying to bring you this insanely gorgeous tabletop feature that boasted a four page spread in the recent Exquisite Weddings Magazine (what an honor!).    We paired up with the very talented ladies of Luxe Events and together created a “Rugged & Light” tabletop inspiration that knocked our socks off!  To borrow the eloquent words of Jenny Minns, owner of Luxe Events, “If the designer for Restoration Hardware with his chunky furniture and all his old world goodness married an ethereal garden fairy this wedding table would be the result.  A balance of masculine and feminine, bright and dark, heavy and light.  An abundance of greenery sets off vibrant pops of fluffy flower textured color, a complete contrast to the rugged tables, chairs and muted tones of the the architectural furniture.”

Coral peonies were paired with over five varieties of garden roses and various textures of foliage and vines.  Our rustic, distressed wood stands were a perfect fit for the gorgeous Hire Elegance custom chairs and Archive Vintage Rental table.  Paper goods were designed by Courtney Scowby, of Brightly Designed and the beautiful runner was by La Tavola Linen.

Tanya & Cameron : Bold Beauty

  • Under : Blog , wedding

This beautiful Prado wedding was flawlessly executed and coordinated by the fabulous team over at First Comes Love and expertly captured on camera by True Photography!

Tanya chose a beautiful, soft and delicately textured bouquet of ivory and blush blooms with soft gray accents and her bridesmaids boasted very textured, deep burgundy bouquets with curly willow and thistle accents.  The handle of the bridal bouquet was detailed with clippings from the wedding gown and meaningful photos of lost relatives.

The reception was studded in candlelight with a unique mixture of tall and short centerpieces and a  long head table topped with a mixture of centerpieces.

Short centerpieces were created from our trio of tall, footed mercury glass vases surrounded by mercury glass vases of varying sizes filled with deep red blooms and natural green pops.

Large, natural manzanita branches were dripping in deep red blooms, hanging candles and natural greenery placed within deep stained wood boxes filled with organic moss and succulent accents.

The stage was covered in glowing mercury glass candle light, creating a glowing backdrop to the head table.

Not only a beautiful and sweet couple, this duo had SERIOUSLY great style and was very involved in our design process from start to finish.  We worked with a great team including the talented Gina Hundley of, San Diego Weddings by Gina, Orange Turtle Photography and Pamplemousse Grille among others!

Nothing is more romantic than a fragrant bouquet made completely of fluffy and creamy ivory peonies!!!  The beautiful bouquet was finished in a unique wrapping of satin, lace, pearls and a bit of glittering rhinestones.

GLAMOUR poured from every corner of the beautiful Swarovski crystal-studded courtyard reception.  Taking place at the beautiful San Diego Museum of Art, the scene was a sophisticated mixture of old world romance and modern elegance.  Pearl and Matt dined under our dramatic and gorgeous ivory canopy, DRIPPING in blooms and crystal strands.

Soft and delicate centerpieces were created from ivory and blush blooms with grey accents placed upon our stunning silver stands.

A big thank you to Orange Turtle Photography for capturing the night and each detail so perfectly, great job!

Mara & Kyle : Soft Beachfront Beauty
  • Posted By : Blush Botanicals/
  • Under : Blog , wedding

Romance surrounded Mara and Kyle on their big day- complete with sun, fun and ocean views!  See the feature of this wedding on Style Me Pretty by clicking here!

The beautiful couple chose a soft color palette of blush, ivory and grey.  Mara wore a fragrant gardenia in her hair and chose a soft, vintage bouquet of textured garden roses, stock and spray roses finished in a romantically dripping bow.

The bridesmaids wore soft blush gowns and held blush blooms to match.

The gorgeous ceremony took place on the terrace of the beach-front L’Auberge Hotel in Del Mar.  Our beautiful ivory canopy, complete with our glamorous crystal chandelier, was draped around the top and sides to not obstruct the stunning ocean views.  The aisle was lined in delicate ivory rose petals, our ivory and silver lanterns adorned with blush blooms.

The simply understated reception was created with soft grey linens and white chiavari chairs.  Ivory lanterns were surrounded by blush blooms placed in bud vases and ivory ceramic urn vases contained fluffy ivory and blush florals with pops of soft grey detailing.

Each place setting contained a blush rose bloom.

The stunningly detailed dessert station was created to perfection by the talented Alison Sansom, of L’Auberge Del Mar.

Guests took home fun glasses as favors.
