From the moment Jhovanna and Jak walked into our studio and described their look, we knew this was going to be a fun and unique wedding and couldn’t wait to get started on the details! Mixing elegant and traditional sophistication with more modern organic accents allowed us to achieve a timeless yet unique look, and what better place to have a gorgeous wedding than Estancia La Jolla! We also had the opportunity to work with one of the best coordinators in the business, Melissa Barrad, owner of I Do…Weddings!
The bride carried a gorgeously textured bouquet of ivory garden roses, textured scabiosa pods, organic succulents, white freesia, spray roses and fragrant gardenias finished in a delicate ivory lace with pearl accents.
Jack wore a complimenting succulent and spray rose boutonniere.
The reception was simply stunning with a mixture of tall and short ivory centerpieces with organic accents throughout. The tall centerpieces were made up of hydrangea and ivory orchid stems with rustic curly willow accents in the vase and throughout the florals. The short centerpieces were created in silver plated urn vases containing delicate ivory hydrangea, orchid accents, roses, freesia, textured scabiosa pods and succulent accents. Warm mercury glass candle holders accented the centerpieces, adding romance to both the tall and short centerpieces.
The beautifully understated ceremony, held at USD’s founders chapel, was created with numerous glass cylinder vases containing floating candles. I am always a fan of understated church weddings, there is usually so much happening up front that only small accents are necessary to create a romantic ambiance.
